The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, personnel management, and efficient inbound/outbound logistics. This role leads warehouse teams while maintaining operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.
• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and distribution activities
• Ensure efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse
• Develop and implement operational procedures to maximize productivity
• Monitor warehouse KPIs and performance metrics
• Coordinate staffing levels according to business demands
• Supervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse personnel
• Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary
• Promote a positive, safety-focused work environment
• Schedule staff and manage labor utilization effectively
• Lead team meetings and communicate operational goals
• Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time performance
• Coordinate with transportation, customs brokers, and customers as needed
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and reporting
• Ensure OSHA compliance and workplace safety standards
• Conduct safety meetings and training programs
• Investigate accidents and implement preventive measures
• Ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness standards (5S principles preferred)
• Utilize WMS, ERP, and warehouse technology systems
• Generate operational reports and analyze warehouse performance
• Monitor productivity, labor costs, and operational expenses
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• Equivalent warehouse leadership experience considered
• Minimum 5 years warehouse experience
• Minimum 3 years in leadership or supervisory roles
• Experience within logistics, distribution, transportation, or import/export environments preferred
• Experience managing large teams preferred
