CT Technologist
Job Description
The CT Technologist is a skilled professional responsible for providing timely diagnostic imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This position requires proficiency in performing various diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including CT of the head, brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures. The technologist must demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and the processing of the CT system, in addition to being familiar with surgical sterile procedures and studies with or without contrast media.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostic CT scans and procedures with precision.
- Provide quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate closely with Radiologists to achieve accurate diagnostic outcomes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of CT technology and cross-sectional anatomy.
- Adhere to departmental protocols and safety standards for imaging procedures.
- Engage in continuous education to keep updated with advancements in imaging technology.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT/TMB).
- Current BLS certification.
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in CT imaging is required.
- Ability to provide evidence of a permanent home address and social security number.
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
Schedule
This position requires a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with block scheduling possible and floating required as needed.
