CT Technologist
Job Description
The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role involves performing various imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards in quality and care.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including CT of the head, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.
- Conduct basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, and C-arm procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of the processing of CT systems and sterile surgical procedures.
- Perform studies with or without contrast media, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care and imaging results.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- ARRT or MRT/TMB License.
- BLS certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related role.
- MUST be registered in Connecticut.
Schedule
This position offers a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift on a block scheduling basis with floating and call requirements.
